Raghav Mesmerizes the DulhanExpo
Audience
Sept. 23 Cherry Hill, NJ: Another milestone
added to the illustrious history for the largest series
of bridal shows in the United States 'Sumit & Shikha
Arya's Dulhan Expo'. 'Raghav' the hottest Desi R&B artist
in the world performed to an enthusiastic audience of Dulhan
Inc's 20th bridal show in Cherry Hill, NJ. DulhanExpo could
not have asked for a better South Jersey & Philadelphia
area debut. South Jersey had been asking for a show in the
their neck of the woods for quite some time now, and there
prayers were finally answered and that also with this amazing
bonus. Raghav performed the all time favorite 'Angel Eyes'
from his multi-platinum album 'Story Teller' and a future
hit 'My Kinda Girl' from his forthcoming album 'Identity',
releasing worldwide early 2008.
Raghav had all his fans in a frenzy as he performed and
touched their hands from the DulhanExpo catwalk. To their
further amazement he extended a 30 minute meet & greet
in the backstage area. The down to earth artist greeted
and hugged all his fans, took photographs with them, signed
autographs, mingled and joked around until each and every
fan in the mile long line was satisfied to the core.
Raghav studied Indian classical music with Guru Nishi Kant
Bali from the tender age of five. Raghav began writing music
when he was 15. At 16, one of his compositions won an award
for top original song from the National Songwriters Association
of America. He moved to L.A. from Canada to study with the
great Seth Riggs, the vocal coach to, amongst others, Stevie
Wonder and Michael Jackson.
For the last 4 years he has made his home in the
UK. After being part of a British R&B band 11/7 in his
college days, he closed a solo management deal with highly
influential Sly & Robbie and British Producer Mushtaq.
This is when he finally began to settle on the sound and
style that has become his own, embracing the myriad of musical
styles and cultures that have come his way... R&B, a
little bollywood and a little rap... English and Hindi lyrics
blending into a magnificent multicultural jamboree.

The beautiful stage decorations were an artwork of Creative

were offered by Aangan Restaurant and Nan King Caterers.
The Soft Drinks, Tea & Coffee were all courtesy of Crowne
Plaza Cherry Hill. 60 vendors from 20 different wedding
service categories were present to provide an amazing array
of choices for prospective brides to help plan their weddings.
Many casual visitors took advantage of import/wholesale
rates when it came to fashion & jewelry shopping...
and entertained themselves through 2 hour long stage show...
many walked away with raffles galore.
DulhanExpo has been unanimously accepted as the most effective
Launch Pad for Wedding Industry's newcomers and the perfect
Marketing Tool for the sustenance of already established
brands. It has also been embraced as the medium for one
and all to reach out and touch their audience and to thank
them for their patronage. To top it off, this time around,
SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT picked none other than 'DulhanExpo'
to kick-start their marketing campaign for Sanjay Leela
Bhansali's next magnum opus 'Saawariya' introducing Ranbir
Kapoor & Sonum Kapoor. There was a huge display setup
in the lobby for the Movie, decorated by 'Avsar Decor' of
Edison, NJ. The entire foyer area including doors and table
skirtings were covered by Saawariya's posters. Saawariya's
Theatrical Trailer was played several times on the giant
screens atop the DulhanExpo stage. Sumit Arya, the organizer
and the evening's master of ceremonies also added Saawariya's
Trivia as part of the raffle giveaways. One can check out
Movie's Theatrical Trailer at www.SaawariyaFilm.com.
2nd Annual Grand DulhanExpo is being held on December 2,

TESTIMONIALS:
"Dear Sumit, Time and time again you have proved that
Dulhan Expo is the best source for everyone who is looking
for wedding related business. You have now achieved a level
of excellence that is hard to beat by anyone. Well done.
I must mention one big thing missing in your last 2 Expos.
It was Shikha Bhabhi. Make sure she travels back from India
for the Annual Grand DulhanExpo. OK!!"
Naveed Khan, Sunny Image Studios
"Dear Sumit Arya, I would like to congratulate you
on a job well done yesterday at the Dulhan Expo event in
Cherry Hill. It was my first time attending, although I
have heard a lot about it before. I was very impressed at
how well things went, considering this was your first shot
at this location. I am also thrilled that you have decided
to continue coming to Cherry Hill. I had so much fun, and
everything from the vendors, models, DJ's, to Raghav was
all just perfect! Again, you did an amazing job yesterday!"
- S.G., Bride-to-be
"Hi Sumit, I Just wanted to let you know that the Dulhan
Expo yesterday was very helpful. I loved Medley and Raaz
entertainment and will probably be calling them for our
wedding in April '09."
- Dharmi, Bride-to-be
"Hey Sumit, I was at the expo today... actually just
got home... was really impressed."
-Chhaya Patel, Visitor (on Facebook.com)
"Hare Krishna ! Dear Sumit Arya !! First, our heartfelt
THANKS for donating a non-profit stall at DulhanExpo, Cherry
Hill. We would like to thank you and would like to serve
you in future any way we can. Enjoy, chant and be happy
!! With best regards."
- Rajesh, Gaudiya Vaishnava Association
"Hello Mr. Sumit Arya, Me and my daughter attended
the Cherry Hill, New Jersey Dulhan Expo for the first time.
We really enjoyed our day there and it was great to see
Raghav perform. We were wondering if we could receive our
photos with Raghav, that your official photographer took
because we were not able to get any on our own. My daughter
was wearing a tan shirt if that helps. Thank You and keep
up the great Dulhan Expo work."
- Meena, DulhanExpo Visitor
"Hi Sumit, How are you? How did the Cherry Hill expo
go? I am sure it must have been great as you had an attraction
like Raghav. Anyway we had a great experience participating
in the last week's show in Long Island as well. So, now
it's time to plan our marketing strategy for the Grand Dulhan
Expo in December. I know you must be exhausted so take some
rest and call me when you have some time. Take care."
- Sunita Sadhnani, BollyArts.com
"Thanks Sumit!! Thanks for a great expo and taking
good care of us"
- DJ Shahid
"Thanks for the opportunity, we had a great experience,
it was our first time, and we wish we had started earlier.
It was really wonderful performing on the Dulhan Expo stage
as well."
- Roger Lipson, Shaadi ki Shehnaai
"Thanks for yet another successful show"
- Saurabh Jain, Mandaps by Dhoom
"Dear Sumit, Just attended a bridal show in Bangalore.
I was so disappointed, they only had like 25 booths and
90% of them were just fashion and jewelry. After participating
in your shows, I think your Dulhan Expos are much better.
Your vendor list is more comprehensive and the event itself
more interesting. If you are going to be doing this here,
I think you should stick to your regular format. I would
love to promote my art in your future India shows."
- Sumana, Art Apart
"Hi Sumit!! Thanks for your support, your special non-profit
rate and the amazing accommodations you made for us. I specially
want to thank you for giving us a few minutes to speak from
the stage...REALLY APPRECIATE THAT. The show was a success
for us, especially from the point of view of spreading the
word for ISHA. I am very confident many good things will
come from this. Once again..thank you. Please do let us
know if you have any suggestions for us or do remember us
when you think there may be a person/event that may help
us."
- Navneet Chahal, Isha Vidya
"Sumit, I will always support you! That you can count
on!!!! I thank you for making me a permanent fixture at
your Dulhan Expos. Stay Fit & Keep Smiling."
- Sarina Jain, Masala Dance & Fitness Inc.
"Hello Sumit, it was a pleasure performing again at
Dulhan. Once again it was fun to help rock the house down
with live music. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward
to playing it again live for the brides and
grooms to be. All the best. Regards."
- Ramesh Maraj, Indisax Entertainment
"Hi guys... Just want to let you know that Dulhan Expo
has made a huge difference in the bookings we have gotten
in the past couple of years... thank you Sumit for your
hard work in organizing these expos and giving a lot of
new entertainers and wedding specialists a platform and
making it easier for brides to find all of us in one place.
Thank You."
- Satbir Singh, DJ Kucha Company
"Dear Sumit & Shikha, Assi WaheGuru Ji nu ardaas
karde haan, aapji dono Chardiya Kalan vich raho, ate aapji
di expo vi. Wish you both the best and Good Luck. Thank
you."
Gurpreet, Madan Madi - Dhol Master
"Hi Sumit, This is Nadia Lall, the winner of the last
Sunday's expo's grand raffle for the $5000 worth Mandap.
Currently I work three jobs and my fiance works two just
so that we can have the wedding of our dreams and winning
this prize has helped me out greatly. I think what you are
doing for the Indian and West Indian communities is a great
thing by bringing the resources to us. It is hard and frustrating
to shop around for different vendors when you don't have
the time. Also, I didn't even know if all these different
vendors even existed until I went to this bridal show. So
once again thanks you giving this bride options as well
as an opportunity to see what else is out there besides
the vendors down the street."
- Nadia Lall, Bride-to-be.

'DulhanExpo': The Hottest Desi Bridal Show Rocks
Long Island
April 10, 2006 LONG ISLAND, NY:
DulhanExpo Bridal Show rocked the Long Island suburb
of New York on April 9, 2006, for the fourth time in the
past Four Years. This was the 13th Bridal Expo by the pioneers
in South Asian Bridal Shows, Dulhan Inc. Out of 13 shows,
8 have been hosted in the state of New Jersey and one in
VA/DC/MD. The huge demand of Bridal Shows in Long Island
was not being met by any other exposition company, so Dulhan
Inc. decided to turn this annual phenomenon into a twice-a-year
event. Today this event co-hosted by Sitar Restaurant is
a force to reckon with, in Tri-State Desi Wedding Industry
and the only one of it's kind in the entire New York State.
MAIN ATTRACTIONS:
At Huntington/Long Island Hilton, a rotating crowd of more
than 2000 attended the event on Sunday, April 9 and enjoyed
numerous benefits offered by the organizers and the 60 participating
vendors. The highlights of the show included Live Performance
by BellyTwins from California, Fashion Show by some world
renown designers, 21 item complimentary buffet by Sitar
Restaurant, Guest of Honor Kamal Dandona of Bollywood Awards,
$10,000 in free raffles including a Carnival Cruise to Bahamas
and much more. If you are sorry that you missed it, the
next semiannual edition of DulhanExpo is scheduled again
at the Huntington/Long Island Hilton for September 24, 2006.
And if you are a bride who can't wait that long to plan
her wedding, then there is the New Jersey show coming up
just for you on April 30, 2006, at Newark Airport Doubletree
Hotel. More Info is available at the site DulhanExpo.com
THE ORGANIZERS:
The organizers Sumit and Shikha Arya are the founders and
heads of the International "Association of South Asian
Wedding Professionals", with 3000 plus members worldwide.
Sumit Arya has been serving the brides as a photographer,
a mandap decorator and a wedding planner for 20 years and
owns the 'Shamiyana Wedding Center' in Iselin, New Jersey.
Shikha Arya besides organizing DulhanExpos, also is the
fastest rising Bridal Make-up Artist on the horizon and
owns the 'Moulin Rouge Salon & Spa' in Roselle, NJ.
This makes Dulhan Inc. the only company that stands at the
crossroads serving both the Brides and the Vendors equally,
fairly and without any conflict of interest.
BELLY TWINS:
The live performance by BellyTwins was the highlight of
the evening. Audience's jaws were seen hitting the floor
as they showcased their dance talent. BellyTwins are obviously
available to dance at weddings and private events, that's
why they were seen at the DulhanExpo. Neena and Veena are
world famous belly dancers who have made a huge name for
themselves in the mainstream America. They have been interviewed
in practically every network talk show and appeared in numerous
television shows and Hollywood movies. They teach Middle
Eastern and South Asian dance forms through their school
'Eastern Dance Company'. They are also the pioneers in Fitness
Instruction via Belly Dancing. They have produced 5 instructional
DVDs and written a book 'The way of the belly'.
FASHION SHOW:
The fashion ramp at the DulhanExpo saw a huge lineup of
Designers and Boutiques this time. A perfect amalgamation
of culture, tradition, and modernism emerged out of the
treasure-coves of designers like Karamjit Bhinder &
Shahrukh Zainab and Boutiques like Charms Couture &
Khubsoorat Libas. The jewelry that complimented the amazing
designs were collections by Shreya Jewelers, AVS Jewels
& Karol Bagh Jewelers all from Hicksville, NY. Beautiful
models that showcased these designs are associated with
the modeling agency 'Today's Model'. The show was choreographed
by Shikha Arya & Karamjit Bhinder.
MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT:
Yes, you get serenaded by the mystical sounds of Anand Patole's
Tabla and Anjana's Sitar, as you walk into the reception
area, a standard warm welcome is to be expected at each
DulhanExpo. Next DulhanExpo in New Jersey will also see
Ramesh Maraj melting away the food court area with his sexy
saxophone sounds. The April 9 expo also had the towering
personality of the master dhol player Boota 'Sher' Sheikh,
who gave a sample of his international level talent on the
stage. Saurabh Jain of Dhoom Entertainment, Ritesh Rathod
of Medley Entertainment and Hina Trivedi entertained the
crowds with their silky voices fit for weddings, garbas,
sangeets and even Bollywood.
PAMPERING GALORE:
Like always Bridal Pampering was on top of the agenda at
the DulhanExpo. If free admission and free parking was not
enough, 21 item complimentary buffet by Sitar Restaurant
topped it off. In addition to that, complimentary hot beverages
were served by the Hilton Long Island. Now, if all this
sounds too good to be true, imagine free mehndi applications
by Ruchi's Mehndi, Dulhan Mehndi, Beauty Zone, Khubsoorat
Nina Lamba's Salon, Moulin Rouge Salon & Spa and Nina
Doshi. Nikki, Nadi, Pam & Shikha of Moulin Rouge Salon
and Dulhan by Shikha Arya went to the extent of offering
free mehndi, free make-overs, free massages and free eyebrow
threadings right on the spot. Now which Bridal Show can
top that?
TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS:
Before the 1st Annual International Grand DulhanExpo scheduled
for December 3, 2006, taking place at the Garden State Exhibit
Center, NJ, takes the US bridal shows to the level of Indian
and British shows, the 13th DulhanExpo already made some
technological advancements unheard of at US bridal shows.
Thanks to Teyaari.com, the registration area was completely
computerized for the first time, where the brides and casual
visitors sat down and keyed in their information. This also
revolutionized the raffle system. The fashion show ramp
& the stage was lit up by the state of the art lighting
system and two huge screens displaying the names of the
designers and other credits, courtesy of DJ Kucha and company.
CARNIVAL CRUISE TO BAHAMAS:
$10,000 worth of gifts and discounts were raffled off at
the 13th DulhanExpo. All that registered online as well
at the walk-in registration area were automatically entered
into the raffle. Some major discounts and gift offers included
$1000 discount from Sumit Arya Photography, $2000 discount
from Dave's Photo, three huge silk flower arrangements by
Paragon Designs, An outfit worth $200 from Khubsoorat Libas
and many more. Leila Rizvi of Brooklyn, New York was the
proud winner of the Grand Raffle "A 4 day/3 night trip
for 2 to the Bahamas aboard Carnival Cruiselines",
courtesy of Steve Pollock, an independent distributor of
Royal Prestige Health Systems, a line of premier kitchen
utensils.
NEXT BRIDAL EVENTS:
Even if you visited this event, we encourage you attend
the other upcoming events by DulhanExpo to maximize your
choices among vendors. If you have never visited a DulhanExpo,
then you don't know what you have been missing. You don't
have to be getting married to attend these events... many
casual visitors frequent these shows for fun, fashion shows,
food, entertainment and wholesale priced fashion and jewelry
shopping.

traveling especially from Kathmandu, Nepal; Bellydancing

Master Madan Madi and the live music of Saurabh Jain &

raffle winner. Among many other attractions, Calibre Farms
will be taking the attendees out for a little spin around
the grounds of the Doubletree on their Royal Wedding Chariot.
The 15th DulhanExpo is planned for Sunday, September 24,
2006 at the Huntington/Long Island Hilton. This particular
date is already attracting many International Indian &
Pakistani Vendors, as this time of the year suits them best.
The 1st Annual International Grand DulhanExpo scheduled
for December 3rd, 2006 at the Garden State Exhibit Center
in Somerset, New Jersey will showcase 200-300 wedding, home
and fashion related vendors across a huge 80,000 square
feet floor. The day will be saturated with the trade show,
